At Brisbane South State Secondary College, we recognise every future is different and requires a level of flexibility and adaptability.

We are dedicated to creating opportunities to nurture our students’ inner greatness, providing diverse learning opportunities to ensure every student is prepared for their chosen future.

All students both within catchment and out-of-catchment are entitled to apply for a Selective Entry Program. The Executive Principal is responsible for all decisions on selective entry enrolment and the decision will be final. 

How to apply

​​Applications into the 2026 Selective Entry Programs are now open and strictly close on Friday 16 May 2025.

Application details are set out below:

• If you are residing outside of our catchment and you wish to apply for the AFL Academy and/or Biomedical Science Academy, please do so via the 2026 Selective Entry Out-of-Catchment Enrolment Application ;
• If you reside within the Brisbane South SSC catchment and you wish to apply for AFL Academy and/or Biomedical Science Academy, please note this is embedded in the above 2026 Application for In-Catchment Enrolment.
  

Please note: This is not a direct entry into the program. Further information will be emailed to parents after the submission closing date.

You will be required to pay the following Academy processing fee via QKR! at the time of submitting your application. Please note: This fee is non-refundable and Applications will not be considered if this payment is not received . Details can be found on the Biomedical Science Academy or AFL Academy Application for Consideration Form.

In-Catchment Fees are:

• $150.00 for each Academy
