Brisbane South State Secondary College is proud to launch Brisbane South SSC Biomedical Explorers—an exciting new excellence program for curious and academically motivated Year 5 students with an interest in STEM(M) and biomedical science.
Commencing in 2027, the program will provide students with opportunities to participate in hands-on STEM(M) investigations, explore biomedical concepts and connect with like-minded young learners.
Participants will also benefit from engagement opportunities with The University of Queensland designed to inspire and extend their learning.
Brisbane South SSC Biomedical Explorers is a supported early-entry pathway, with successful applicants receiving a conditional offer of enrolment into the Brisbane South SSC Biomedical Science Academy for Year 7 in 2028.
Applications are open to current Year 5 students from within and outside the Brisbane South State Secondary College catchment area.
Applications open on Friday 31 July and close on Friday 4 September 2026.
